Newsletter: 12/12/16: Figments for Dec 10 — 14 and Decision to Make

Hi everybody,

Well, nine days left until Christmas. I hope you are all in a writing mood. The Christmas-Hanukkah-Soltice-New Year-et al season is so inspirational.

When should we meet next

With that in mind, we have a decision to make. Our next meeting is January 2. I am guessing that most of us cannot or would rather not make it. To that end, we have the following possibilities: meet January 2, January 9, January 16, January 23, January 30, or skip January. Remember, we also meet on February 6, so January 30 might be a bad choice. Also, SA and LJ, when do you take kung fu classes next month, since there are five Wednesdays in January? And does anyone else have a Wednesday when he or she will not be able to meet?

If you can all get back to me as soon as possible, I would appreciate it. The Town needs to deal with our decision (event calendar for January and booking the room), so needs a timely heads-up.

Figment Theme Prompts

We have new Figment prompts this week. Take look at the photo prompt. Rather unique, particularly the tiles, don’t you agree? Figment also gave us another opening line prompt; actually two, when you include the December 12 prompt. The December 11 and 12 prompts offer an interesting contrast: tradition versus novelty. And the December 11 and 13 prompts examine human behaviour and motivations. Enjoy.

And that is it for me. I hope you have a great week and you find inspiration to write some more.

Keep writing,
